Right next to the Surf Club, The Function Room enjoys magnificent views of our beautiful beaches, the historic Cape Byron Lighthouse, Julian Rocks, and the Mt Warning caldera. There are few places that command such beauty. A ground floor venue with a magnificent deck area, it provides the ideal location for your Byron Bay wedding or private event — with capacity for up to 150 guests.

The Function Room
Floor-to-ceiling ocean views for up to 150 seated guests. Natural timber, ocean breezes, and golden afternoon light create an atmosphere money can't buy.
Beachfront Ceremony
Exchange vows on the sand with the Pacific as your backdrop. The lighthouse stands watch, Julian Rocks sits on the horizon, and the hinterland frames the scene.
The Deck
Step outside for cocktails as the sun sets over the bay. The perfect space for canapés, speeches, or a first dance under the stars.

Absolutely — the beach directly in front of the club is the most popular ceremony location. We'll help you coordinate with council permits.
Byron Bay has hundreds of options within walking distance. We're in the heart of town, steps from hotels, Airbnbs, and boutique stays.
We work with a curated list of approved caterers who know the venue well. All catering must be provided by an approved vendor.
The Function Room is fully covered with indoor/outdoor flexibility. Ceremonies can move undercover without losing the ocean views.
Yes — ground floor access throughout, accessible amenities, and beach wheelchair available on request.
We do not allow funerals, wakes, 18th or 21st birthday parties at the venue.
No music or alcohol service after 11pm. All guests must vacate by 11:30pm.
